Verdant Accord

Our story

Good games begin with attention.

Verdant Accord began as a small circle of designers comparing paper prototypes around a crowded kitchen table. We built the school we wished we had: practical, patient, and honest about the work between a spark and a finished game.

A company shaped by tables

Our curriculum grew from hundreds of observed playtests, where the most useful lessons were often quiet ones: a rule read twice, a player left behind, or a moment of delight no designer predicted. We teach designers to notice those moments and respond with purpose.

Our mission

To help more people create tabletop games that are clear to enter, rewarding to inhabit, and considerate of the communities that gather around them.

Make evidence visible

Every confident decision should have a reason behind it.

Respect the player

Clarity, access, and welcome are design materials, not afterthoughts.

Keep curiosity alive

Iteration works best when questions stay larger than ego.
